Student Government Association
Each campus has a Student Government Association (SGA). The SGA represents the voice of the students on campus and at the district and state levels. As a student at PHCC, you are automatically a member.
The purpose of the SGA is to promote active, responsible, and cooperative citizenship through participation and self-government. The SGA strives to promote campus events in harmony with student interest by planning and actually participating in campus events.
The campus SGAs hold regular meetings every week starting with the week following Labor Day for term I and the first week following Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in term II.
Elections for senator are held the second week after drop/add. For information and applications ask your campus student activities coordinator. Completed applications are due by Friday, August 31 to the student activities office.
Elections for president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer are held the first full week in April. For information and applications ask your campus student activity coordinator.
