Sara joins the team from Countryside High School where she was named the 2011 Countryside Female Athlete of the Year, was a 2011 Hall of Fame Inductee, and set the school record for most assists. She also received the team MVP award, the Hustle and Heart Award, and was the team captain. She helped lead her team to a 29-1 record and Final Four State finish as a sophomore. She led Pinellas County in assists in 2008, 2009, and 2010 seasons with an average of 11.9. While she was on the varsity team, she was named All-State 6A Honorable Mention, All-Suncoast Team Honorable Mention, First Team All Conference, Second Team All Conference, First Team All Pinellas County and Second Team All Pinellas County. She was a member of the FACA All-State Senior All-State Team and captain of the Pinellas County All-Star Team. She was named to the All Tournament Team at the Jacksonville-Bolles Invite in 2009 and Springstead Invitational in 2010. She was also named the MVP of the tournament at the Springstead Invitational in 2010.

Sara played for the Pinellas Heat Volleyball Club for nine years. She would like to contribute hard work, leadership, a positive attitude, and support towards her teammates to reach team goals. She enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her niece Kaylee, her family, and friends.

Victoria joins the team from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Coral Springs, Fla. She was the captain of her high school team in 2010, was a BCAA All Start player, was named the Miami Herald “Athlete of the Week,” received the best blocker award for her team, and received honorable mention for the All American Team. She has also received an academic achievement award in psychology and was an honor roll student. She played club for Ocean Breeze Volleyball, Club Florida and Tribe Volleyball Clubs. Her greatest aspiration is to be someone who is successful not only financially but emotionally. She wants to love what she does and to be able to look back on her hard work and know it was worth it.

Natascha joins the team from Eustis High School where she was the MVP her sophomore and junior years. She was the named the “Most Aggressive Player” her sophomore year, “Most Intense Player” her junior year, and had the best kill percentage her senior year. She was on the honor roll all four years of high school, part of the National Honor Society, and was the executive president her senior year. She also played volleyball for Eustis Club Volleyball and Florida Excel Volleyball Club. She would like to contribute a positive attitude to the team and her greatest aspiration is after medical school she wants to be a part of doctors with no borders and travel to South Africa.

Gladys joins the team from Osceola High School and also played club for the Orlando Volleyball Academy. Her best volleyball memory was winning the Bartow High School Tournament. She would like to contribute hard work, motivation, and a positive attitude.

Jessica joins the team from Hudson High School where she received the following awards: MVP in 2009, Coaches Award 2010, St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune player of the year, All Conference first team in 2008 and 2009, and she also holds the single season dig record at Hudson High School. She played club for Pinellas Heat and Hernando Juniors Volleyball Club. Her best volleyball memory was her senior season victory at the regional finals against Vanguard High School.

Taylor joins the team from Manatee High School and is a transfer from Chowan University. While at Manatee she was selected as an all area honorable mention and made the all county team. While she was at Chowan University, she made the all-rookie team for the CIAA conference and helped her team win the 2010 CIAA Championship. She also played club volleyball for Tampa United. She would like to contribute her experience, leadership and a positive attitude to the team. She enjoys trying new restaurants, sightseeing and going to the beach in her off time.

Quynn joins the team from Central High School. She also played club for Club Hernando and Hernando Juniors. At Central High School she was in student government for four years, was the senior class historian, was also in the ROTC program for four years, was in the Beta Club her junior year, and was voted most athletic. She was the rookie of the year her freshman year and captain of her team her senior year.

Major: Communications/broadcasting
Azya joins the team from Dutchtown High School. She also played club for TCA Atlanta and Atlanta Boom Volleyball Clubs. She was awarded the Coach’s Award two times and was awarded most blocks for her high school team. She was also a fourth place finisher in the Girls Extemporaneous Speaking event. She chose to attend PHCC because she felt that she would have the right opportunity to grow as an athlete and as a person. She also thought the size and location were a good fit for her.

Lisa joins the team from Hudson High School. She also played club for Pinellas Heat and Hernando Juniors. Lisa was the recipient of the team MVP in 2006 and coaches award in 2008 at Hudson. She also was a third team all conference selection in 2008 and a second team all conference selection in 2009. Her best volleyball memories was when her team went undefeated in middle school and in ninth grade, and when her team qualified for the state tournament her senior year.

Michelle joins the team from Orange Park High School and BCVC (Black Creek Volleyball Club). She helped her high school team win districts three years in a row (2008-2010). She was an All Conference selection in 2009 and 2008. She was the team MVP in 2008 and received the Best Setter’s award in 2009. She was an honor roll student all four years of high school. She would like to contribute a positive attitude and hard work. Her favorite food is sushi, favorite movie is Anchorman, and favorite athlete is Misty May-Treanor.

Lauren joins the team from Oviedo, Fla. where she played for Oviedo High School, O-town volleyball club, and Inland volleyball club. She helped her team to a district championship while at Oviedo. She would like to contribute a positive attitude and a love for the sport. Her great grandfather, William Klaus, was a professional baseball player who played for the Boston Red Sox. Her greatest aspiration is to be a math teacher and volleyball coach one day.

Lynnette joins the team from Melbourne, Fla. and was captain of her high school team for three years. She received the Coach’s award in 2006 and was the team MVP in 2007. She played club volleyball for Cape Coast Volleyball Club. One of her greatest aspirations is to work with Habitat for Humanity in a foreign country.

Jessi joins the team from Hudson, Fla. where she played for Hudson High School and Pinellas Heat Volleyball Club. She was the most improved player her junior year and was a 2nd Team - All Conference player. Her senior year she was the team MVP, was a 1st Team - All Conference player, was a 2nd Team - All Suncoast player, and was the Hudson High School Female Athlete of the Year. She was on the honor roll all four years of high school and was a PHCC top ten percent scholarship recipient. Her greatest aspiration is to become the next Katie Couric.

Brooke joins the team from British Columbia, Canada where she played for South Delta Secondary and Vancouver Thunder High Performance Team. She was the sportsperson of the year in 2010, the captain of her high school team her junior and senior years, was selected to the BC summer games in 2008 and beach teams in 2010. She was also selected for the BC High Performance Training and Team BC selection camp. She has been an honor roll student and principal’s list recipient for five years. She would like to contribute a positive attitude and strong work ethic. She enjoys going to the beach, reading, playing softball and basketball and shopping.

Torii joins the team from Winter Garden, Fla. where she played for West Orange High School, Champions Club, Lake County Juniors Club, Top Select Club, and Orlando Volleyball Academy Club. She had the top kill percentage in high school, received the best attitude award, was a four year starter, and was the captain of her team. She would like to contribute a positive attitude and a love of the sport. Her greatest aspiration is to get through med school (to become a veterinarian) and to be successful.

Lindsey joins the team from Brandon High School and has played for Brandon Sparks, Brandon Crush, Tampa United, and Pinellas Heat volleyball clubs. She was a first-team and second-team all county player and the recipient of the Rose Diaz award. One of her best volleyball memories was when she was playing with Pinellas Heat volleyball club, she was playing in Minneapolis against M1 for the semi-finals to qualify for Junior Olympics, which they won by three. Lindsey has been an honor roll student while at Brandon High School. She would like to contribute to another national championship and leadership to the team. She also plays beach volleyball competitively, and one of her aspirations is to be a professional beach volleyball player and to play in the Olympics.
