Enrolling in EPI
The first step to enrollment in the Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) is to request an information and application packet. This can be done online or by contacting the EPI office at 727-816-3714 and leaving us your name, contact number and mailing address. An information and application packet will be mailed to you the following business day.
In order to be considered for enrollment in the EPI program you must possess a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. You must also possess a Statement of Status of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE).
Once you have completed the forms provided in the application packet, obtained your Statement of Status of Eligibility letter from the Florida Department of Education, taken and passed the General Knowledge Exam (Note: Some students are exempted from this exam. Determination is made by the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Certification. Testing requirements are provided on the Statement of Status of Eligibility letter), and completed the online PHCC application, mail your completed packet to the EPI coordinator.
